About the Speaker:
Jason T. Andrew is a founder & partner of Stone Meadow Benefits & Insurance Associates (SMB), an innovative benefits consulting firm in Silicon Valley. He is a Board member of SVAHU (Silicon Valley Association of Health Underwriters) and an Ad-Hoc Committee member of CAHU (California Association of Health Underwriters). In this capacity, Jason meets often with HHS (Health and Human Services) and other state policy makers to provide feedback from the brokerage and business community regarding health reform.
Andrew works with large public entities, individuals and businesses to develop alternative strategies and progressive solutions that reduce the cost of health care. Andrew was previously the Managing Producer for Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates in Mountain View, where he specialized in programs for non-profits, startups and public sector clients. He negotiated, designed, and implemented benefit plans for over 30 public entities and union clients. Andrew also created a health insurance pool that enabled over 16 safety bargaining units to reduce costs by moving away from CalPERS, the nation's 3rd largest insurance broker.
